AINMT becomes ice group
23 August 2017 – To highlight the group’s Norwegian and strategic origin, and align with its best established brand, AINMT will from today start operating under the ice group name.
“Ice.net’s customer-centric and data and LTE-driven business strategy receives very good feedback from Norwegian customers. Our name-change to ice group reflects that we aim to replicate this business model in the other markets we are building up a presence,” says JD Fouchard, CEO of ice group.
ice group is an international telecommunications company focusing on wireless data communication services. Its strategy is to operate as a differentiated mobile data provider and a lean customer smartphone operator. In addition to Norway, the group has operations in Brazil, Indonesia, Philippines, Sweden and Denmark. The operating entities in these countries will not be affected by the name change on group level.
“The name ice group ensures consistency with the ice.net brand in Norway, which also makes sense given that Norway is the most likely market for a listing of ice group later this year,” adds JD Fouchard.
As a result of the name-change from AINMT to ice group, NOTC-listed AINMT AS has been re-named Ice Group AS. The ticker will be ICE.
Further to the announcements released on 6 June 2017 and 24 July 2017, the group is exploring a number of alternatives for equity funding Step 2 of its potential investment in Nextel Brazil.
